Very beautifully taken.....the light at the bottom youd think would be distracting, but blends well with the stars...wheres that light coming from if I may ask?

It's coming from a street (or should i say village haha) lamp. But because of the high iso (5000) it came out like a giant undefined light source. I quite liked it so i didn't want to make multiple exposures/iso settings and blend it together. Thank you very much :D

Thank you for provifing the EXIF data. I'm surprised I don't see a little trailing after the 30 second exposure. It turned out very well for sure. Did you do anything to bring out the midtones in the photo?

It's because I shot it at 10 mm. I've read somewhere that you can even pass the 30 second mark at 10 mm and no trailing would be visible (maybe 41 seconds at longest, something like that, I don't remember correctly).
Yes I brought out the milky way in photoshop by playing with curves and midtones in cs6 and in lightroom 5, and the lower part of the image (the house and the lamp) turned out to be bright like that because of the high iso I used (5000). Hope that explains it all :) Thank you very much :D

Nice! It trails super hard at 35mm. I wonder if my 18mm lens would catch it too. Thanks though! I do appreciate it. I'll try out some settings if I get a chance to shoot the stars.

I found it!!! You can see here how long you can have your shutter opened for every focal lenght: capturingthenight.deviantart.c…
This really helped me when I first started with astrophotography :D

Pretty neat.  I would have either titled the camera up or made two exposures (1 for the sky, 1 for the ground) and blended them in PS.  That flare on the bottom right is rather distracting and competes too heavily with the starry sky. :\

Actually i really liked that flare and didn't want to crop it hahaha it made the picture kind of mysterious because of the big white light out of nowhere , maybe just for me haha :)
